Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything and I thought it was probably time to touch base with the land of the living. Here’s what I have been up to for the past few months.
I created a new website for Abbie Warnock. I have to say, I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, because I don’t know how to make websites! I sort of learned along the way. Here are a few of the more simple sites that I made for family and friends.
I took a trip to the Cayman Islands and Cuba with Erika. We had a great time, and I made some new friends along the way. I think it was good for me to get out of the house, spend some time in the sun, and have some good laughs!
I’ve started to compile my bucket list. You can check it out here. Even though it’s a small list, I plan to continue to add on to it as I think of more things. Each time I complete something on it, I’ll post the evidence here on my blog. If any body has any ideas of other things I should do before I die, I’m open to suggestions.
I started back up with my Spanish classes. Luckily I was able to get some real life practice when I went to Cuba! However, the Spanish spoken in Cuba is like 5 times faster than any other Spanish I’ve ever heard! Wow!
I joined the Red Cross as a volunteer and have been working at blood drives and getting trained to participate in disaster services. I’m a huge fan of donating blood, and donate every 8 weeks. To find out where you can donate blood in your area visit givelife.org.
Next up, I’m planning to go to Utah May 10 – June 3. May is shaping up to be a busy month. Mother‘s Day, Stetson’s Mission Farewell, Stetson going into the MTC, and Lakin’s 17th birthday (actually, that’s in June—but still).
For the summer, I’m hoping to do more traveling and find an organization to volunteer with. At this point, the meaning of life has really changed for me. I want to spend time with the people that I care about, do more fun things, and help as many people as I can.
Thank you to all of you for your love, support and encouragement. I am sorry for being so hard to get a hold of these past few months, and I plan to be more available going forward.
