Erika had a friend (Natalie Lacuesta…now Natalie Lacuesta Byrum) getting married in the Cayman Islands and she invited me to be her +1. At first I was a little skeptical, because I don’t scuba dive, I wasn’t going to know anybody besides Erika and ….well, okay I’ll admit it…. I was a little worried about being so far away from my comfort zone since Zach died. But I’m really glad that I went. I met some really awesome people that I hope to be friends with for a long time, had some good times, soaked up some vitamin D, and even got in a few belly laughs.

Probably my favorite part of the Cayman Islands was swimming with the Stingrays! We ended up going two separate times to swim with the portabello mushroom-like sea-creatures, which worked out well for me, because the first time I was completely terrified. I’m glad that the evidence of that first attempt was destroyed (Erika accidentally deleted her memory card from the first half of our trip), because I was a complete freak! The second time around, was much better. Yes, Yes, Steve Irwin died from being stung by a stingray, but these stingrays were as sweet as kitties!

Erika and I were feeling adventurous so in the middle of our trip in the Caymans, we took a short detour to Cuba! You can see the pictures from Cuba here.

I think I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves:
